Terms of Service

BotGuessr is a Discord bot and web platform that enables GeoGuessr players to participate in a territory-based game called Map Domination. The service allows users to:

• Log in using their Discord account via OAuth2.
• Link their GeoGuessr account for identity verification.
• Compete for territory control within their Discord servers.
• View leaderboards, battle history, and map states.

The service is provided free of charge and is operated independently. BotGuessr is not affiliated with Discord Inc. or GeoGuessr AB.

• You must have a valid Discord account to use the platform.
• You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service at all times.
• You must comply with GeoGuessr's Terms of Service when linking your GeoGuessr account.
• By using the platform, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to agree to these terms.

• Authentication is handled exclusively through Discord OAuth2. We do not store passwords.
• GeoGuessr account linking is voluntary and requires placing a verification code in your GeoGuessr profile bio temporarily.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account.
• You may revoke platform access at any time from your Discord Authorized Apps.

• Each user is limited to a set number of attacks per day, as configured per server.
• Battles are resolved based on GeoGuessr challenge results fetched automatically.
• Attempting to manipulate game results, exploit bugs, or interfere with other players' accounts is strictly prohibited.
• Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited.
• Violations may result in removal from the platform without prior notice.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Impersonate other users or provide false information during account linking.
• Attempt to access, modify, or disrupt the platform's infrastructure.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without authorization.
• Abuse the verification system or attempt to link accounts that do not belong to you.

• BotGuessr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.
• We are not responsible for any loss of game progress resulting from server downtime, maintenance, or technical issues.
• GeoGuessr challenge results are fetched from external systems; we cannot guarantee their accuracy or availability.
• BotGuessr is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
• Game rules, attack limits, and features may change over time as the platform evolves.
• Significant changes to these Terms will be announced in our Discord server.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us on our Discord server. Upon deletion, your Discord User ID, GeoGuessr link, and game history will be permanently removed.
